What you do as Software Tester at New Story

As Software Tester you’re part of a multidisciplinary scrum team. You work closely with the other team members, such as developers, designers, scrum masters and the product owner. Your job is to lift the team to a higher level quality-wise: partly by demonstrating our quality, but also by automating quality control. In addition, you have a supporting role setting acceptance criteria together with the product owner. You’re proactive, communicative and positively critical.

Your tasks include:

  • Functionally testing user stories.
  • Advising the product owner in setting acceptance criteria.
  • Maintaining the test environment.

  • Creating and automating test scenarios.

Here’s the list of qualities we’re looking for and it’s okay if you don’t have the Royal Flush:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Software Tester.

  • You have the TMAP/ISTQB certificate.
  • You’re a team player.
  • You have experience with scrum.
  • You speak the language of developers, but also that of the clients.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining test automation.
  • Experience designing and maintaining a test environment.
